This year is just zipping right by us and it’s hard to believe that December is just a few short months away! The good news? That means that it’s time to start planning for the Christmas season! Because when it comes to the most wonderful time of the year, it’s never too early to start looking ahead. And for this upcoming holiday, you have to book your ticket to ride the Polar Express Train because what would Christmas be without it?

If you’ve never seen The Polar Express, you’ll probably have no idea why this train is so important and magical—so quick explainer for those who missed out 15 years ago. The 1985 children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg tells the tale of a young boy who questions the existence of Santa Claus and finds himself nervously hopping on a train to the North Pole. When he arrives, he witnesses the wonders of Santa’s toy factory, his elves, and meets the big man himself who gifts him a silver bell for Christmas… then he finally discovers the value of believing. Basically, this is the movie you need to be watching all throughout December to get you in the holly jolly mood.

Not only should you watch it, though, you should also experience it for yourself because Rail Events Inc. is offering Polar-Express themed train rides where you can feel like you’re in the movie and take a trip to down to the “North Pole.” To really get in the spirit of it, prior to boarding, passengers are encouraged to come along in their pajamas (just like the boy in the story does) and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while they ride their way through the book. Once you get to the “North Pole,” guests will get to meet Santa who will have gifts for everyone!
