LOCAL charity, Christmas Presents for Kids in Care, will host an afternoon tea with six inspirational speakers at the Helensvale Library on Saturday.
Voice coach Sally Prosser, Juice 107.3 Radio’s Iain Ferguson and Adam Nicholson from the Container Exchange will share their ideas with guests.

Doors will open at 12.45pm and other speakers will include Kent Jefferies, who will speak about the joy of tasting home grown food and Tania Dell-Amico will share her thoughts about a day in the life of a White Lady funeral director.
Tickets are $15 each and include a glass of bubbly, beer, wine, tea or coffee, as well as a slice of cake.
All attendees will receive a goodie bag and all funds raised will help provide presents to kids in care at Christmas.

“Unfortunately, not all kids across the country enjoy the Christmas experience of receiving gifts from their loved ones,” charity spokeswoman Jane Padden said.
“We work hard to try and provide beautiful gifts for teens who are in the foster system but not in a foster family.”

The charity runs fundraising events throughout the year so that individuals, families and organisations can contribute to gifts for kids in care.
